I Am Just a Pilgrim

I am just a pilgrim, a traveller on the road,    one foot front the other, that’s the way I roll

All of my possessions I haul upon my back,       I always move forward, I never look back

I walk all day in the dust and heat, bone tired and thirsty, blisters on my feet

My hair is crazy, my eye is wild, I got the head of a sinner and the heart of a child

Time’s wastin’ I got to go, gotta meet up with Jaime in Santiago

I keep walking just as long as I can, I’m a man on a mission, man, I’m on a mission

I am just a pilgrim, a traveller on the trail, sometimes I stumble, sometimes I fail

But I always wanna get up and get back on my feet, that’s the law of the jungle, that’s the rule of the street

Time’s wastin’, we got to get, got a vision of paradise, this could be it

I see a light on straight up ahead, maybe a warm bed, a warm bed

I’m just a pilgrim tryin’ to roll through this world

I am just a pilgrim, a traveler on the way and the journey is the reason I’m walking today

All my brothers and my sisters up and down the road, everyone we meet, we say “Hola, buen camino.”

Time’s wastin’ we got to go, gotta meet up with Jaime in Santiago

We keep walking to the promised land, we’re a gang on a mission, man.

We’re just pilgrims tryin’ to roll through this world, I’m just a pilgrim tryin’ to roll through this world…
